Wollondilly Rugby 2009

The Wollondilly White Waratah Rugby Union Club have entered the Sydney Competition for the 2009 Season, entering a first and second grade team. 

We are currently still recruiting players of all skills levels to join the club, and we can ensure plenty of game time for all players.

Training has already commenced at Hannaford Oval, Broughton Street, Wilton on Tuesday and Thursday Nights from 6.30 - 8.00pm.

Struggling Through Sydney

It is half way through the season and joining the Sydney Competition has proved to be a challenging move for all players.

We are finding ourselves up against strong, fit teams with a lot of skill.

So far first grade has had three wins and five loses, but each game is a new experience against a new team and the boys are all gaining from every match and becoming better players themselves.

Second grade seem to be struggling through the season, yet to win a game. 

Many injuries have caused a lot of valuable players to be out, but we are all impressed with the improving skills of every individual and the club does not regret its move to the Sydney competition whatsoever.

The upcoming June Long Weekend will be a rest week for the boys with no games on, training will continue as normal.

The next game will be held on Saturday 13th June, 2009 at Macquarie University.

The bus will depart Picton Bowling Club at approximately 11am.
